This research carried out an analysis of the discourse of the news broadcast on femicide in the WAMBRA.EC community digital environment, during 2020, to identify the type of narrative in the covering of these facts. To obtain the results within this case study, 10 femicide news related to the last half of 2020 were analyzed. In which for the methodology applied for the lifting of the information it was of qualitative modality, through descriptive-diagnostic-exploratory research, through the technique of direct observation. The results showed that the media manages a socio-educational treatment in which they focus on addressing issues from the perspective of human rights, feminism, and expert opinion, because it was evident that the media issues very few informative reports of cases of femicides with a follow-up of these facts. The real challenge of journalism is to make society aware that feminicide is a public and social problem, so this research recommends a series of guidelines for improving journalistic discourse on cases of femicide in the country.es_ES
