dc.description | Bronchial asthma is one of the respiratory pathologies with the highest frequency in people, especially in childhood affecting more than 10% of them, with estimated figures of 250 million people worldwide, it generally has a multifactorial origin and is determined by predisposing factors. The most common form of presentation of asthma in children is an allergic type that has an early onset and is triggered by allergens and with the typical symptoms of coughing wheezing and dyspnea. In Ecuador in 2016, mortality from asthma was 10 people per 100,000 inhabitants, according to sex it was 6 per 100,000 inhabitants for women and 4 per 100,000 inhabitants for men. The present work aims to know how asthma affects children and what are the factors that trigger it, as well as knowing the most appropriate treatment for a 5-yeras-old patient, asthma over the years has become. This is a subject of total interest to scientists, since until today there are unknown factors that can trigger an asthma attack, a timely diagnosis and treatment with favorable results is essential for the patient to lead a normal life. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | El asma bronquial es una de las patologías respiratorias con mayor frecuencia en las personas, sobre todo en la infancia afectando a más del 10% de ellos, con cifras de afectación estimadas de 250 millones de personas en todo el mundo, por lo general tiene un origen multifactorial y está determinada por factores predisponentes. La forma más común de presentación del asma en los niños es de tipo alérgico que tiene un inicio temprano y es desencadenada por alergenos y con los síntomas típicos de tos, sibilancias y disnea. En ecuador en el año 2016 la mortalidad por asma era de 10 personas por cada 100000 habitantes, según el sexo fue para mujeres 6 por cada 100000 habitantes y de hombres fue 4 por cada 100000 habitantes. El presente trabajo tiene como finalidad conocer como afecta el asma a los niños y cuáles son los factores que la desencadenan además también de conocer el tratamiento más adecuado para un paciente de 5 años de edad, el asma con el pasar de los años se ha convertido en un tema de total interés para los científicos ya que hasta el día de hoy hay factores desconocidos que pueden desencadenar una crisis asmática, un diagnóstico a tiempo y un tratamiento con resultados favorables es esencial para que el paciente lleve una vida normal. | es_ES |
