dc.description | Jaundice is one of the most common causes why newborns, whether full-term or premature, enter neonatology services, it is important to be clear that in most cases the developed clinic manages to dissipate in days, but this does not mean that the inappropriate management of the newborn has no regrettable outcomes , therefore it is necessary to detect in a timely manner and the correct management of the nurse process by the health personnel in the face of this pathology. There is a case of neonatal jaundice in newborns of 10 days of life, which was born through cessation at 38.6 weeks of gestation, in the hospital of Specialties the Armed Forces of the city of Quito, this pathology being one of the main causes on the occasion of entry into the neonatology area of that institution. The clinic presented is evaluated through complementary examinations where we know the levels of bilirubin in the blood of the newborn, in addition the nursing staff uses the Kramer scale to visualize in a headache-flowing direction the regions affected by the impregnation of bilirubin and the nurse process coupled to the patient's profile is applied, intervening with individualized and optimal activities to improve their quality of life. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | La ictericia es una de las causas más comunes por las cuales los recién nacidos ya sean a término o prematuros ingresan a los servicios de neonatología, es importante tener en claro que en la mayoría de los casos la clínica desarrollada se logra disipar en días, pero esto no quiere decir que el manejo inadecuado del recién nacido no tenga desenlaces lamentables, por ello es necesario la detección oportuna y el correcto manejo del proceso enfermero por parte del personal de salud ante esta patología. Se presenta un caso de ictericia neonatal en recién nacido de 10 días de vida, el cual nace a través de cesaría a las 38.6 semanas de gestación, en el hospital de Especialidades las Fuerzas Armadas de la ciudad de Quito, siendo esta patología una de las principales causas con motivo de ingreso en el área de Neonatología de dicha institución. La clínica presentada se evalúa a través de exámenes complementarios donde conocemos los niveles de bilirrubina en sangre del neonato, además el personal de enfermería utiliza la escala de Kramer para visualizar en sentido cefalo-caudal las regiones afectadas por la impregnación de la bilirrubina y se aplica el proceso enfermero acoplado al perfil del paciente, interviniendo con actividades individualizadas y óptimas para mejor su calidad de vida. | es_ES |
