| dc.description | Allergic rhinitis is a chronic inflammatory disease of the nasal mucosa, the result of some reaction. Its prevalence in the world has increased in recent times, and the study of its risk factors has been scarce in the child population, since in this way multiple risk factors have been used where these vary from one study to another, depending on of the information obtained and the methods used. The objective of the study is to evaluate the symptoms and causes related to allergic rhinitis in an 11-year-old female patient and to explore the influence of risk factors for this pathology, among which certain allergens such as (pollen, mold, epithelium of animals or dust mites. This study aims to determine the affectation and quality of life of the patient diagnosed with Allergic Rhinitis, in turn to establish the type of Allergic Rhinitis according to the duration, according to gender and age group, in addition to relate the type of Allergic Rhinitis according to the duration with the quality of life of the patient who is being cared for in the Allergology and Otorhinolaryngology outpatient clinic at the IEES BABAHOYO General Hospital. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La rinitis alérgica es una enfermedad inflamatoria crónica de la mucosa nasal, resultado de alguna reacción. Su prevalencia en el mundo ha aumentado en los últimos tiempos, y el estudio de sus factores de riesgo ha sido escaso en la población infantil, ya que de esta manera se han empleado múltiples factores de riesgo donde estos varían de un estudio a otro, dependiendo de la información obtenida y de los métodos empleados. Tenemos como objetivo de estudio evaluar los síntomas y las causas relacionados con la rinitis alérgica en una paciente femenina de 11 años y explorar la influencia de factores de riesgo para esta patología dentro de los cuales destacan a ciertos alérgenos como (polen, moho, epitelio de animales o ácaros del polvo. Este estudio pretende determinar la afectación y la calidad de vida de la paciente diagnosticada con Rinitis Alérgica, a su vez establecer el tipo de Rinitis Alérgica según la duración, de acuerdo al género y grupo etario, además relacionar el tipo de Rinitis Alérgica según la duración con la calidad de vida de la paciente que está siendo atendida en consulta externa de Alergología y Otorrinolaringología del Hospital general IEES BABAHOYO. | es_ES |
