dc.descriptionIn this clinical case study, the nursing care process will be applied to an adult over 67 years of age with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), who attends the emergency area of the Alfredo Noboa Montenegro Hospital due to a clinical picture of exacerbations, characterized by dyspnea, tachypnea, asthenia among others. Exacerbations are mild or intense episodes of the respiratory symptoms common in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, as a consequence affecting the quality of life or in some cases death. The nursing care process will be elaborated following a systematic order, starting from a complete assessment of the patient, elaborating the nursing diagnosis, planning and executing the elaborated activities. The correct and well carried out planning contributes to the speedy recovery or relief in the disease that the patient suffers.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEn el presente estudio de caso clínico, se aplica el proceso de atención de enfermería en adulto mayor de 67 años de edad con enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica (EPOC), que acude al área de emergencia del Hospital Alfredo Noboa Montenegro por presentar cuadro clínico de exacerbaciones, caracterizado por disnea, taquipnea, astenia entre otros. Las exacerbaciones son episodios leves o intensos de los síntomas respiratorios frecuentes en la enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica, como consecuencia afectando la calidad de vida o en algunos casos la muerte. El proceso de atención de enfermería está elaborado siguiendo un orden establecido, desde una valoración completa, diagnostico de enfermería, la planeación y ejecución del plan de cuidados establecidos, según la necesidad del paciente. Una planificación correcta y bien elaborada contribuye a la pronta recuperación o alivio en la enfermedad del paciente.es_ES
