dc.description | The subject raised for the present investigation was the control of weeds in the cultivation of Tobacco (Nicotiana tabacun Lin.) And its effect on yield. The cultivation of Tobacco is a plant that is cultivated to take advantage of its leaves in different types of cigarettes. A series of factors influence the quality and production of tobacco, among which weed control stands out, which can delay root development, plantation growth and leaf quality. It was determined that weeds must be controlled effectively in order to avoid competition between mixtures with the crop for water, light and nutrients essential for plant development; the presence of weeds causes an inhibitory effect on root development and hypocotyl growth of tobacco seedlings, consequently affecting yield; Herbicide formulations, such as Pendimethalin are those that achieve greater weed control in tobacco cultivation, unlike mechanical control it has been carried out since ancient times, it generates higher production costs and certain tobacco producers use the use of plant covers between planting distances or crop rotation, in order to mitigate the impact between unwanted plants and the crop. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | El tema planteado para la presente investigación fue el control de malezas en el cultivo de Tabaco (Nicotiana tabacun Lin.) y su efecto en el rendimiento. El cultivo de Tabaco es una planta que se cultiva para aprovechar sus hojas en los diferentes tipos de cigarro. Para la calidad y producción de tabaco influyen una serie de factores, entre los que se destaca el control de malezas, lo que puede retardar el desarrollo de las raíces, crecimiento de la plantación y calidad de las hojas. Se determinó que las malas hierbas deben de controlarse de manera eficaz a fin de evitar la competencia entre las mezclas con el cultivo por agua, luz y nutrientes indispensables para el desarrollo de las plantas; la presencia de malezas causa efecto inhibitorio sobre el desarrollo radicular y crecimiento del hipocotíleo de las plántulas de tabaco, por consiguiente afecta el rendimiento; las formulaciones de herbicidas, como Pendimethalin son aquellos que logran alcanzar mayor control de malezas en el cultivo de tabaco, a diferencia del control mecánico se ha realizado desde la antigüedad, genera mayores costos de producción y ciertos productores tabacaleros utilizan para el control de malezas el uso de coberturas vegetales entre las distancias de siembra o rotación de cultivos, a fin de mitigar el impacto entre las plantas no deseadas y el cultivo. | es_ES |
