dc.description | The following case focuses on the state of health of a 48-year-old female patient who enters the health area with a clinical picture of 1 year of evolution characterized by progressive dyspnea on mid-effort, 6 months ago it worsens limiting activity physical, dyspnea is exacerbated accompanied by orthopnea, diaphoresis, palpitations, presents conscious, with oxygen support, performs arterial blood gas testing showing hypercapnia and hypoxemia. Acute Respiratory Failure is a condition that occurs because the blood does not have enough oxygen to meet the metabolic needs of the body, bacterial pneumonia is an infection that is caused by bacteria such as Streptococcus Pneumoniae, the diseased alveoli are filled with fluid and pus, which makes breathing painful and limits oxygen uptake, in the treatment to follow the patient was administered to correct respiratory failure non-invasive ventilation, but as it did not have favorable results, she was induced to mechanical ventilation to treat pneumonia Ceftriaxone plus Clarithromycin was administered. The main objective of this study is to timely identify Acute Respiratory Failure associated with Bacterial Pneumonia, through the clinical manifestations that the patient presents. In conclusion, we can say that respiratory failure associated with bacterial pneumonia is related, due to the lack of proper oxygenation, poor oxygen uptake occurs, thus generating insufficient oxygenation in the body's tissues. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
