dc.description | In the present case study, acute respiratory failure is addressed in an 86-year-old female patient who came to the emergency area due to a clinical picture of 3 days of evolution characterized by a choking sensation, dry cough, thermal rise and pain in the hypogastrium. The objective of this study is to analyze the pathophysiological and clinical profile of patients with acute respiratory failure, thus laying the foundations to analyze the course of the disease and establish the strategies for its treatment. The follow-up carried out to the present case study, due to the existence of risk factors such as arterial hypertension and aggravating factors such as septic shock, this case had an unfavorable outcome despite the different pharmacological and ventilatory strategies used, that is why The author encourages the reader to take into consideration all the clinical and pathophysiological aspects addressed in this case to develop new strategies for the management of this pathology. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | En el presente estudio de caso se aborda a la insuficiencia respiratoria aguda en una paciente femenina de 86 años de edad la cual acude al área de emergencia por presentar cuadro de clínico de 3 días de evolución caracterizado por sensación de ahogo, tos seca, alza térmica y dolor en el hipogastrio. El objetivo en este estudio consiste en analizar el perfil fisiopatológico y clínico de pacientes que cursan con insuficiencia respiratoria aguda, sentando así las bases para analizar el curso de la enfermedad y establecer las estrategias de su tratamiento. El seguimiento realizado al presente estudio de caso, debido a la existencia de factores de riesgo como la hipertensión arterial y agravantes como el shock séptico, este caso tubo un desenlace no favorable a pesar de las distintas estrategias farmacológicas y ventilatorias usadas, es por eso que el autor hace aliciente al lector a tomar en consideración todos los aspectos clínicos y fisiopatológicos abordados en este caso para desarrollar nuevas estrategias para el manejo de esta patología. | es_ES |
