dc.descriptionChronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a progressive disease characterized by a chronic limitation of airflow to the lungs causing difficulty breathing, chronic coughing, wheezing and excessive mucus, associated with an inflammatory reaction of the airway, as a result of many factors such as exposure to wood smoke, harmful particles, gaseous pollutants, and tobacco smoke which significantly affects the lives of those who suffer from this disease. We present the case of Mr. NN, 70 years old, who has been a smoker of 20 cigarettes a day, begins to present exacerbations that are accompanied by his disease that in years past has been detected but not treated or diagnosed in the right way is why we emphasize that it is taken into account the scales of Bode /Bodex to guide the professional in an appropriate treatment that allows the patient to integrate into society to maintain a better quality of life.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica (EPOC), es una enfermedad progresiva que se caracteriza por una limitación crónica del paso del flujo aéreo hacia los pulmones provocando dificultad para respirar, tos crónica, sibilancia y mucosidad excesiva, asociada a una reacción inflamatoria de la vía aérea, a consecuencia de muchos factores tales como la exposición al humo de la leña, a partículas nocivas, a gases contaminantes, y al humo del tabaco el mismo que afecta considerablemente la vida de los que padecen esta enfermedad. Se presenta el caso del señor NN, de 70 años de edad, quien ha sido fumador de 20 cigarrillos diarios, comienza a presentar exacerbaciones que vienen acompañadas de su enfermedad que en años atrás ha sido detectada pero no tratada ni diagnosticada de la manera correcta es por eso que recalcamos en que sea tomada en cuenta las escalas de Bode /Bodex que le permita orientar al profesional en un adecuado tratamiento que permita la paciente poder integrarse a la sociedad mantener una mejor calidad de vida.es_ES
