| dc.description | The present clinical case deals with a 50-year-old female patient diagnosed with HIV and Pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation, a complication that occurred after the patient was admitted to the intensive care unit. Pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation is one of the first causes of mortality in patients who are under mechanical ventilation, be it due to tracheostomy or endotracheal tube, this complication occurs because there is no voluntary elimination of secretions accumulated in the airway. Through this study we are going to know the risk factors that will lead to pneumonia associated with mechanical ventilation, and in turn we will know the measures that must be taken to avoid this type of complication. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El presente caso clínico trata de una paciente de 50 años de edad de sexo femenino diagnosticada con VIH y Neumonía asociada a la ventilación mecánica, complicación que se presentó luego del ingreso de la paciente a la unidad de cuidados intensivos. La Neumonía asociada a la ventilación mecánica es una de las primeras causas de mortalidad en pacientes que se encuentran bajo ventilación mecánica ya sea esta por traqueotomía o tubo endotraqueal, esta complicación se presenta porque no hay una eliminación voluntaria de secreciones acumuladas en la vía aérea. Por medio de este estudio vamos a conocer los factores de riesgo que van a conllevar a una Neumonía asociada a la ventilación mecánica, y a su vez conoceremos las medidas que se deben tomar para así evitar este tipo de complicación. | es_ES |
