| dc.description | The puerperium is the period that continues after childbirth which comprises three stages: immediate, mediate and late puerperium, in this process various complications may occur from the moment the delivery period ends until approximately 42 days after delivery, one of the most frequent complications is puerperal sepsis. A case of puerperal sepsis is presented in a 19-year-old woman who is admitted to the gynecology area of the Guasmo Sur General Hospital in the city of Guayaquil, this pathology being one of the complications with the highest risk of maternal mortality. The objective was to describe the application of the Nursing Care Process in this patient who was in delicate clinical conditions. The evaluation was carried out according to the functional patterns according to the Marjory Gordon model, to specify those that were altered and to be able to meet the care needs that said patient presented according to the capacity and competence as nurses. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El puerperio es el periodo que continua después del parto el cual comprende tres estadios: puerperio inmediato, mediato y tardío, en este proceso se pueden presentar varias complicaciones desde el momento que termina el periodo de alumbramiento hasta aproximadamente 42 días después del parto, una de las complicaciones más frecuente es la sepsis puerperal. Se presenta un caso de sepsis puerperal en una mujer de 19 años de edad, que se encuentra ingresada en el área de ginecología del Hospital General Guasmo Sur de la ciudad de Guayaquil, siendo esta patología una de las complicaciones con mayor riesgo de mortalidad materna. El objetivo fue describir la aplicación del Proceso de Atención de Enfermería en esta paciente que se encontraba en condiciones clínicas delicadas. Se procedió a realizar la valoración según los patrones funcionales de acuerdo al modelo de Marjory Gordon, para precisar los que se encontraban alterados y poder suplir las necesidades de atención que presentaba dicha paciente de acuerdo a la capacidad y competencia como enfermeros. | es_ES |
