| dc.description | Fournier’s gangrene is defined as necrotizing fasciitis, almost always affecting patients with underlying diseases; after research, it is the determined that diabetes mellitus is the most prevalent comorbidity and that a timely diagnosis and rapid and aggressive multidisciplinary therapy are required. A clinical case was developed on a 48 year old patient with a diagnosis of diabetes mellitus associated with Fournier’ who went to the emergency area of the Guasmo Sur General Hospital, said pathology had six days of evolution characterized by injury necrotic scrotum caused testicular Pain that radiates to the pelvic area , unquantified fever, chills, constipation and dehydration. Through the nursing assessment by Marjory Gordon patterns, subjective diagnosis was determined and thus it was possible to provide care according to the nursing care process and the describe pathology, all of the above based on the theory of Virginia Henderson that allowed to develop a timely and effective care plan that contributed to improving the patient s condition. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La gangrena de Fournier se la define como una fascitis necrotizante, casi siempre afecta a pacientes con enfermedades subyacentes; tras investigación realizada se determina que la diabetes mellitus es la comorbilidad con más prevalencia y que requiere de un diagnostico oportuno y una terapéutica multidisciplinaria rápida y agresiva. Se realizó el desarrollo de un caso clínico sobre un paciente de 48 años de edad con diagnóstico de diabetes mellitus asociada a gangrena de Fournier, que acudió al área de emergencia del Hospital General Guasmo Sur, dicha patología tenía seis días de evolución, caracterizado por lesión necrótica en escroto que le provocaba dolor testicular que se irradiaba hacía el área pélvica, fiebre no cuantificada, escalofríos, constipación y deshidratación. Mediante la valoración de enfermería por patrones de Marjory Gordon, datos subjetivos y objetivos se determinó el diagnóstico definitivo y así se pudo brindar los cuidados acordes al Proceso de Atención de Enfermería y a la patología descrita, todo lo anterior basado en la teoría de virginia Henderson que permitió elaborar un plan de cuidado oportuno y eficaz que contribuyo a mejorar la condición del paciente. | es_ES |
