dc.description | Dry eye syndrome is a multifactorial pathology of the tear and the ocular surface results in symptoms of discomfort, problems with vision and instability of the tear film. Among its symptoms we find eye irritation, dryness and eye fatigue, among others. The objective will be to determine how oral contraceptives affect dry eye syndrome in women aged 18 to 26 who attend the Barreiro Parish Health Center during the period October 2019 to March 2020. The methodology used was qualitative-quantitative, the population consisted of 50 women, but by the inclusion and exclusion criteria the sample was 15 women aged 18 to 26 years. 100% of the users evaluated were totally unaware of the dry eye syndrome and that among its causes is taking oral contraceptives. A plan is designed for the benefit of the users on the prevention of dry eye syndrome using combined oral contraceptives and avoiding their complications. | es_ES |
