dc.description | Type II diabetes mellitus (DM2) is defined as “a metabolic disorder that has a multiple etiology, which is characterized by chronic hyperglycemia which causes metabolic disturbances which are caused by excess carbohydrates, fats and proteins, resulting in a disorder in insulin segregation.” In the development of the present investigation, the Findrisc test was used as a tool, which was applied to the Lucha Obrera sector of the Babahoyo canton, obtaining results such as 53% have a high risk of diabetes, 12.8% very high , 15.1% moderate, 11.3% slightly moderate and 7.5% very low of a total of 132 inhabitants, another important fact is that most cases occur due to bad eating habits and sedentary lifestyle which originates A bad lifestyle. For all this it is proposed a guide that seeks to educate people about what diabetes is, its complications and how to improve eating habits. | es_ES |

dc.description.abstract | La diabetes mellitus tipo II (DM2) se define como “un desorden metabólico el mismo que posee una etiología múltiple, el cual es caracterizado por una hiperglicemia crónica la cual origina disturbios metabólicos los cuales se dan por el exceso de carbohidratos, grasas y proteínas, lo que resulta en un trastorno en la segregación de insulina”. En el desarrollo de la presente investigación se pudo emplear como herramienta el test de Findrisc el mismo que se aplicó al sector Lucha Obrera del cantón Babahoyo obteniendo resultados como que el 53% tiene un riesgo alto de padecer diabetes, el 12,8% muy alto, 15,1% moderado, 11,3% ligeramente moderado y 7,5% muy bajo de un total de 132 habitantes, otro dato importante es que la mayoría de los casos se dan por los malos hábitos alimenticios y el sedentarismo lo que origina un estilo de vida malo. Por todo ello es planteó una guía que busca educar a las personas sobre que es la diabetes, sus complicaciones y como mejorar los hábitos alimenticios. | es_ES |
