dc.descriptionIntroduction: Asthma is a global public health problem is one of the most frequent chronic diseases of childhood, studies related to asthma, presents challenges, factors such as age, gender, family history, population, economy, etc. It influences the way in which this disease occurs and its degree of complexity. Objective: To analyze the risk factors associated with bronchial asthma in children under 11 years of age in the Barreiro Nuevo Sector, Los Ríos, period October 2019 - March 2020. Methodology: The study was a quantitative approach of non-experimental design and cross-sectional, it was established with a sample of 35 children under 11 years. Results: Female sex prevailed with 57%, with greater impact on children under 5 to 8 years with 29% from 1 to 4 years, 23% from 9 to 10 years, 49% of parents have a Primary study level, a relationship was found with the 66% personal pathological history, 34% of the family pathological history, another source of association was due to respiratory infections 29% and 28% due to exposure to dust, 51% parents not We know what kind of factors can be associated with the disease. Conclusion: The association between asthma and female sex, history of asthma, exposure to dust and frequent respiratory infections in the onset of bronchial asthma in the investigated children was confirmed.es_ES

dc.description.abstractIntroducción: El asma es un problema de salud pública mundial es una de las enfermedades crónicas más frecuentes de la infancia, los estudios relacionados con el asma, presentan desafíos, los factores como la edad, el género, antecedente familiar, la población, economía, etc. influyen la manera en que se presenta esta enfermedad y su grado de complejidad. Objetivo: Analizar los factores de riesgo asociados al asma bronquial en niños menores de 11 años del Sector Barreiro Nuevo, Los Ríos, periodo octubre 2019 – marzo 2020. Metodología: El estudio fue de enfoque cuantitativo de diseño no experimental y de corte transversal, se trabajó con una muestra de 35 niños y niñas menores de 11 años. Resultados: Predominó el sexo femenino con el 57%, con mayor repercusión en menores de 5 a 8 años con el 29% de 1 a 4 años, el 23% de 9 a 10 años, el 49% de los padre de familia tienen un nivel de estudio primario, se encontró relación con el antecedente patológico personal del 66%, 34% del antecedente patológico familiar, otra fuente de asociación fue por infecciones respiratorias 29% y 28% es por exposición a polvos, el 51% padres de familia no conocen qué tipo de factores pueden asociarse a la enfermedad. Conclusión: Se confirmó la asociación entre el asma y el sexo femenino, antecedentes de asma, exposición al polvo y padecer infecciones respiratorias frecuentes influyen en la aparición del asma bronquial en los niños investigados.es_ES
