dc.descriptionThe lifestyle represents the set of decisions that individual makes about his health and over which it exercises a certain degree of control. Objective: Determine the incidence of quality of nursing care in the lifestyle of older adults with Diabetes Mellitus II, from Hospicio Corazón de Jesús, Guayaquil canton, Guayas province, in the period from October 2019 to March 2020. Methodology: Qualitive, field, applied, descriptive, cross-sectional research; A questionary was applied to 96 older adults with Diabetes Mellitus II. Results: The age range of the population studied was 65 to 75 years, being more frequent adults over 70-74 years (65,6%), the highest percentage has a secondary school level (66.66%), marital status married (65.62%), free union (16.66%), overweigth (60.4%), frequently have depression ( 31.2%) and anxiety (18.7%); being arterial Hypertension (63.5%) one of the most frequent complications; in the terms food, they consume sugar drinks daily (55.2%), and water consumption is very low, (57.29%), only two glasses of water daily; (67.7%) never participate in physical activities; and they rate the care received as good (83.3%). Conclusions: The main nursing activities applied to the older adults are: provide informatio on ways of feeding, inform about nutritional status; also, inform about the types of foodyou should consume. Activities such as: participation in physical activities; being always visited by family members; suitable communication; good interpersonal relationships; the degree of Collaboration; participatio in recreational activities such as craft work; These arefactors that are contributing to improve the lifestyle.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl estilo de vida representa el conjunto de decisiones que toma el individuo sobre su salud y sobre las cuales ejerce cierto grado de control. Objetivo: Determinar la incidencia de la calidad de atención de enfermería en el estilo de vida de adultos mayores con Diabetes Mellitus II, del Hospicio Corazón de Jesús, cantón Guayaquil, provincia Guayas, en el período de tiempo que transcurre desde octubre 2019 hasta marzo 2020. Metodología: Investigación cualitativa, de campo, aplicada, descriptiva, transversal; se aplicó un cuestionario a 96 adultos mayores con Diabetes Mellitus tipo II. Resultados: El rango de edad de la población estudiada fue de 65 a 75 años, siendo más frecuente los adultos mayores de 70-74años (65,6%), el mayor porcentaje tiene un nivel de escolaridad secundaria (66.66%), de estado civil casados (65,62%), unión libre (16,66%), sobrepeso (60,4%), presentan con frecuencia depresión (31,2%) y ansiedad (18,7%); siendo la hipertensión arterial (63,5%) una de las complicación más frecuentes; en cuanto a la alimentación, consumen bebidas azucaradas diariamente (55,2%), y el consumo de agua es muy bajo, el 57,29%, solo dos vasos de agua diario; el 67,7% nunca participa en actividades físicas; y, califican la atención recibida como buena (83,3%). Conclusiones: Las principales actividades de enfermería aplicadas al adulto mayor son: brindar información sobre las formas de alimentarse, informar sobre el estado nutricional; además, informar sobre los tipos de alimentos que debe consumir. Actividades como: la participación en actividades físicas; el ser visitados siempre por los familiares; la adecuada comunicación; las buenas relaciones interpersonales; el grado de colaboración; la participación en actividades recreativas como el trabajo artesanal; son factores que están contribuyendo a mejorar el estilo de vida.es_ES
