Block planning also known as periodization is a form of sports training that presents a new approach and presupposes the use and sequencing of specialized mesocycle blocks, considering that highly concentrated training loads focus on a minimum number of motor skills and techniques The rational systematization of these blocks is based on the side effects of the training, that is, on preserving the advances produced by a training after having completed it. The secondary reactions of the training are of remarkable importance when athletes improve their skills contiguously and not simultaneously as in the traditional model. In this research work, we intend to analyze block planning and the impact on sports performance of young fondistas, for which it was used in non-experimental design with qualitative and quantitative approach, the inductive and deductive method of exploratory, descriptive and Explanatory addressed to coaches and athletes of the Los Ríos Sports Federation, For the collection of field information, surveys and interviews with structured questions were applied, showing as results that if block planning is carried out that is applied with certain limitations and its results are also limited, athletes participate in local, national and national competitions. international reaching sometimes the first places.es_ES
