A case of pyelonephritis is presented in a 23-week-old pregnant woman in the gynecology area of the General Guasmo Sur Hospital, this being one of the most common complications of urinary tract infections during pregnancy; Our goal is to apply the nursing care process in pregnant teenage patients, who present with pyelonephritis. Multiple common physiological changes prompted by pregnancy cause pregnant women more prone to such infections. These infections can cause serious complications in the mother, ranging from septic shock, hydroelectrolytic disorders, respiratory failure, chronic renal failure and even death. Due to pregnancy they have been linked to important complications such as premature rupture of membranes, preterm birth, chorioamnionitis, low birth weight infants, neonatal infections and postpartum fever. The assessment is carried out by functional patterns using Marjory Gordon's model, to determine the altered patterns and to be able to meet the needs that are within our competence and within our reach, through a care plan, prioritizing those that need to be addressed immediately and put the mother and child binomial at risk, thus contributing to the maintenance of the health of pregnant women and reducing the mortality rate in the country.es_ES
