dc.description	In the case described below, a female patient of 64 years, hypertensive, at the moment she is in the Alfredo Novoa Hospital in Montenegro de Guaranda, admission was performed as an emergency, referring to pain in the chest, difficulty breathing, also since more than four days presents productive cough with yellowish sputum, uncalculated thermal rise, chills and malaise. Blood and radiological evaluation tests were performed when assessed and a diagnosis of Pleural effusion was obtained. In the assessment, the relatives of the patient are questioned, which indicates a personal pathological history of hypertension, allergic and surgical records do not refer, the diagnosis of nursing with acute thorax pain is identified, stating that it cannot breathe due to pain and cough. Nursing care is provided, obtaining favorable results that help improve the patient's health	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	En el caso que se expone a continuación paciente femenino de 64 años, hipertensa, al momento se encuentra en el Hospital Alfredo Novoa Montenegro de Guaranda, el ingreso se lo realizo por emergencia, refiriendo dolor en el tórax, dificultad para respirar, también desde hace más de cuatro días presenta tos productiva con expectoración amarillenta, alza térmica no cuantificada, escalofríos y malestar general. Se realizan exámenes de evaluación de sangre y radiológicos al ser valorado y se obtuvo un diagnosticado de Derrame Pleural. En la valoración, se interroga a los familiares del paciente lo cual refiere tiene antecedentes patológicos personales de hipertensión, antecedentes alérgicos y quirúrgicos no refieren, se identifica el diagnostico de enfermería con dolor agudo tórax, manifestando que no puede respirar por el dolor y la tos. Se brinda cuidados de enfermería obteniendo resultados favorables que ayudan a mejorar la salud del paciente.	es_ES
