dc.description	Dietary habits are considered the main cause of the development of diseases before conception that will affect a future pregnancy giving way to complications such as overweight-obesity, low weight, high blood pressure and gestational diabetes. This problem is located in the health center "El Cerro" belonging to the city of Guayaquil, a research project that will be carried out with the aim of determining how eating habits affect the development of diseases prior to pregnancy, in women who come to the center of health El Cerro during the first semester of the year 2018. In the study methodology, the deductive method was applied, with a quantitative, field, observational and transversal research, plus the use of the survey technique and its questionnaire as an instrument , the population studied was obtained from the development of a probabilistic sampling, which resulted in a number of 150 women, the results that were obtained from the survey were tabulated by using the Excel 2016 tool, results that led to the following conclusions: that unbalanced diet, physical inactivity and lack of medical advice with they lead to diseases that are detrimental to maternal and fetal health in a future pregnancy. In the surveys conducted, 71% of women were overweight-obese, 59% were sedentary women, 49% were women who did not consume vegetables or vegetables and 35% who habitually consume unhealthy foods. dc.description.abstract	Se consideran a los hábitos alimenticos causa principal del desarrollo de enfermedades antes de la concepción que repercutirán en un futuro embarazo dando paso a complicaciones como sobrepeso-obesidad, bajo peso, hipertensión arterial y diabetes gestacional. Dicha problemática se ubica en el centro de salud “El Cerro” perteneciente a la ciudad de Guayaquil, proyecto investigativo que se realizara con el objetivo de determinar cómo repercuten los hábitos alimenticios en el desarrollo de enfermedades previas al embarazo, en mujeres que acuden al centro de salud El Cerro durante el primer semestre del año 2018. En la metodología de estudio se aplicó el método deductivo, con una investigación de tipo cuantitativa, de campo, observacional y transversal, más la utilización de la técnica de encuesta y su cuestionario como instrumento, la población estudiada fue obtenida a partir del desarrollo de un muestreo probabilístico, de lo que resultó un numero de 150 mujeres, los resultados que se obtuvieron de la encuesta fueron tabulados mediante el uso de la herramienta de Excel 2016, resultados que conllevaron a las siguientes conclusiones: que la alimentación desequilibrada, la inactividad física y la falta de asesoría medica conllevan al padecimiento de enfermedades perjudiciales para la salud materna y fetal en un futuro embarazo, en las encuestas realizadas se obtuvo un 71% de mujeres con sobrepeso-obesidad, un 59% de mujeres sedentarias, 49% de mujeres que no consumen legumbres ni verduras y un 35% que habitualmente consumen alimentos pocos saludables.
