| dc.description.abstract | El 23 de febrero de 1970, se conformó en Babahoyo una de la primera junta de Accionista en la Empresa Eléctrica Los Ríos, Cuando los generadores eléctricos cumplieron sus ciclos de vida útil, Emelrios se anexo al Sistema Nacional Interconectando conocido como SIN, el 6 de octubre de 1984, se recibía la energía eléctrica de Paute por la línea de transmisión con la instauración de subestaciones en Babahoyo, San Juan, Vinces, Puebloviejo, Ventanas y Cedege. El 20 de septiembre de 2011, mediante el decreto ejecutivo número 887 se creó la Empresa Eléctrica Publica de Guayaquil, EP.
