| dc.description.abstract | Todas las Instituciones de carácter educativo en cualquiera de sus niveles deben considerar
importante mantener un control sobre los suministros adquiridos para el desarrollo en cada
una de sus actividades, sean administrativas o educativas, con fines investigativos se escogió
el almacén bodega de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo para realizar un estudio y así
prescribir la problemática que mantiene.
El presente trabajo de investigación se enfoca en el control de existencias y optimización
de inventario del almacén bodega de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo, carecen de un
control exacto, siendo éste el rubro fundamental de la institución que en unión a los controles
internos permitirán la toma de decisiones para proteger y resguardar los activos, verificar la
exactitud y confiabilidad de los datos contables.
Se consideró fuentes y conocimientos necesarios para la realización de esta investigación
mediante recopilación bibliográfica de libros e internet, siendo el objetivo principal de este
caso de estudio determinar la ausencia de organización en el control de existencias y su
incidencia en la optimización de inventario del almacén bodega de la Universidad Técnica de
Babahoyo, además de conocer los controles de ingresos y salidas de los suministros, así como
el sistema de abastecimiento para la distribución en los diferentes departamentos de la
institución, identificando las ventajas y desventajas que actualmente posee, además del efecto
que provoca la ausencia de controles en los niveles de existencias.
La metodología a emplear es de tipo descriptivo permitiendo así analizar los hechos
buscando especificar las características de la institución a investigar, además de la modalidad
de campo y documental por lo que se realizaron entrevistas en base a cuestionarios que
permitieron recolectar la información necesaria veraz y confiable.
Esta investigación se realizará con la finalidad de generar conocimientos acerca de la
perfeccionar la vigilancia de las existencias en la bodega, esto se logrará implementando
adecuados controles internos para salvaguardar y preservar las existencias dentro de la
