| dc.description | Obesity and overweight in pregnant women are a serious public health problem worldwide. Metabolic disorders characterized by excessive accumulation of body fat significantly increase the risk of pregnancy complications affecting both mother and fetus. The research study aims to evaluate nutritional care in overweight pregnant women and its relationship with gestational complications at the Santiago de Guayaquil health center in the period October 2024 to May 2025. A quantitative research methodology will be used. deductive, basic non-experimental, documentary, descriptive and transversal. The information will be collected through the inspection and evaluation of the database that will be provided by the statistics department of the health center, selection of participants for the study will be made up of patients who meet the requirements established in the research and according to the established inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings will be presented through tables and graphs that will organize the results according to the stated objectives. Finally, conclusions and recommendations will be drawn up based on the research objectives. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La obesidad y el sobrepeso en mujeres embarazadas son un grave problema de salud pública a nivel mundial. Los trastornos metabólicos caracterizados por una acumulación excesiva de grasa corporal aumentan significativamente el riesgo de complicaciones del embarazo que afectan tanto a la madre como al feto. Se pretende en el estudio investigativo realizar la evaluación de la atención nutricional en mujeres embarazadas con sobrepeso y su relación con las complicaciones gestacionales en el centro de salud Santiago de Guayaquil en el periodo octubre 2024 a mayo 2025. Se empleará una metodología de investigación cuantitativa, deductiva, básica no experimental, documental, descriptiva y transversal. Se recopilará la información a través de la inspección y evaluación de la base de datos que será suministrada por el departamento de estadística del centro de salud, selección de participantes para el estudio estará conformada por las pacientes que cumplan con los requisitos establecidos en la investigación y acorde a los criterios de inclusión y exclusión establecidos. Los hallazgos se presentarán a través de tablas y gráficos que organizarán los resultados según los objetivos planteados.
