The main objective of this study is to design a strategic plan for the reactivation of tourism in Quevedo, contributing to socioeconomic sustainability and supporting local socioeconomic sustainability following the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The importance of tourism as a global economic driver and its potential in Ecuador, a country recognized for its natural and cultural wealth, is highlighted. At the local level, Quevedo faces challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, limited tourism promotion, and a depressed economy. The methodology used was mixed-method, combining quantitative techniques (surveys of residents and tourists) and qualitative techniques (interviews with key stakeholders and direct observation). Data were collected on the perception of tourist attractions, infrastructure, promotion, and the impact of tourism on the local economy. The analysis of the results was conducted using statistical tools and thematic analysis. The proposed plan includes collaboration between the municipality, the private sector, and the community to develop sustainable strategies and promote community-based tourism. The surveys and interviews reflect the need to improve infrastructure, promotion, and environmental conservation to strengthen the tourism sector. Key recommendations include the creation of a local tourism brand, the improvement of infrastructure, and the promotion of sustainable practices. This plan aims to position Quevedo as an attractive and sustainable tourist destination.es_ES
