dc.descriptionIntroduction: The consumption of psychotropic substances represents a worldwide problem in the field of public health, due to the impact it generates on people's quality of life. Objective: Determine nursing care in pregnant women who consume psychotropic substances at the Dr. José Cevallos Ruiz hospital, Cantón Yaguachi. October 2024- May 2025. Methodology: deductive, quantitative, transversal study. Population: 100 pregnant women and 20 nurses. Technique: Survey and direct observation. Results: According to age, the women were between 23 and 30 years old (51%). Their marital status was married (42%) unemployed person (42%). The pregnant women's educational level was secondary (42%). According to their place of residence, they came from rural areas (59%), with a family income below the basic salary (54%). Regarding the type of drug use, the following were reported: alcohol 26%, cannabis 21%, heroin 17%, tobacco 15%, cocaine 12%, and ecstasy 9%. Regarding nursing care according to MSP standards, the nursing staff had a general compliance rate of 75%. Regarding nursing interventions in the basic physiological field, nutritional monitoring was 65%; for pain management 85%, and for fluid management 78%. Meanwhile, for the complex physiological field, prenatal care was 76%, neurological evaluation 84%, and high-risk pregnancy care 78%. In conclusion: These findings highlight the importance of comprehensive nursing care, strengthening the quality of care and reducing the risks associated with substance use during pregnancy.es_ES

dc.description.abstractIntroducción: El consumo de sustancias psicotrópicas representa una problemática a nivel mundial en el ambito de la salud pública, debido al impacto que genera en la calidad de vida de las personas. Objetivo: Determinar la atención de enfermería en gestantes consumidoras de sustancias psicotrópicas del hospital Dr. José Cevallos Ruiz, Cantón Yaguachi. Octubre 2024- Mayo 2025. Metodología: estudio deductivo, cuantitativo, transversal. Población: 100 gestantes y 20 enfermeras/os. Técnica: Encuesta y observación directa. Resultados: De acuerdo a la edad tienen edades entre 23 a 30 años (51%). El estado civil es casado (42%) desempleadas (48%). El nivel educativo de las gestante es secundaria (42%). Según la residencia provienen de zonas rurales (59%), con ingresos familiares menores al sueldo básico (54%). En cuanto al tipo de consumo de drogas fueron alcohol 26%, cannabis 21%, heroína 17%, tabaco 15%, cocaína 12% y éxtasis 9%. Dentro de los cuidados de enfermería según normas del MSP el personal de enfermería tiene un cumplimiento general del 75%. En cuanto a las intervenciones de enfermería según el campo fisiológico básico la monitorización nutricional fue del 65%; para el manejo del dolor 85%, en el manejo de líquidos 78%. Mientras para el campo fisiológico complejo para los cuidados prenatales 76%, la evaluación neurológica 84% y los cuidados de embarazo de alto riesgo 78%. En conclusión: Estos hallazgos permitan evidenciar la importancia de una atención de enfermería integral, fortaleciendo la calidad del cuidado y reduciendo los riesgos asociados al consumo de sustancias durante el embarazo.es_ES
