| dc.description | In a study conducted at the Technical University of Babahoyo, regarding the cultivation of L-17 rice, the productivity of the promising L-17 rice line was evaluated in the Simón Bolívar area of Guayas province. This study was conducted in the fields and then verified in the laboratory, where simple measuring devices such as measuring tapes, calipers, and rulers, as well as machetes for sampling, were available. The Tukey test was used at a 5% significance level to differentiate the parameters evaluated in the rice cultivars. The results showed high productivity of the L-17 rice variety, as well as significant yields per hectare and a high quantity of harvested grain. Also, its grain length and width, and high number of panicles per plant, were also observed. The evaluation highlights that the line represents a promising crop at the regional level and will greatly boost agriculture in the province of Guayas. The study revealed that the L-17 line allows local farmers to produce year-round. This study has important findings for future research and the adoption of environmentally friendly agricultural practices in the region. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | En un estudio realizado en la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo, referente al cultivo de arroz L-17, en el cual se evaluó la productividad de la línea promisoria de arroz L-17 en la zona de Simón Bolívar, provincia del Guayas. Se observó en los campos y luego se verificó en el laboratorio, donde había dispositivos de medición simples como cintas métricas, calibradores y reglas, así como machetes para muestreo. Para diferenciar los parámetros evaluados en los cultivares de arroz se utilizó la prueba de Tukey al 5% de significancia. Los resultados mostraron una alta productividad de la variedad de arroz L-17, así como rendimientos significativos por hectárea y una alta cantidad de grano cosechado. Así como también, su longitud y ancho del grano, alta cantidad de panículas por planta. La evaluación destaca que la línea representa un cultivo prospectivo a nivel regional y potenciará en gran medida la agricultura en la provincia de Guayas. El estudio reveló que la línea L-17 permite a los agricultores locales producir todo el año. Este estudio tiene hallazgos importantes para futuras investigaciones y la adopción de prácticas agrícolas ambientalmente amigables en la región. | es_ES |
