| dc.description | The rice (Oryza sativa L.) is one of the most important cereals in the human diet, since more than half of the world's population consumes it in large quantities. Rice production is the primary activity in the province of Los Ríos, since it generates sources of employment for a large percentage of families. This research will help us understand how rice planting density influences the yield and quality of the crop. The objective was to evaluate the effect of different broadcast planting densities using the promising line L-37. This research work was developed within the domains of the Technical University of Babahoyo of Agricultural Resources, Environment, Biodiversity and Biotechnology, the research was carried out through a field/laboratory with inferential descriptive statistics, it was also of an applied and experimental nature, based on the results achieved. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to compare the effects of planting density and rice varieties on the variables of interest. This research made it possible to solve problems related to the need for seeds per hectare for planting. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El arroz (Oryza sativa L.), es uno de los cereales más importantes en la dieta humana, ya que más de la mitad de la población mundial lo consume en grandes cantidades, la producción de arroz es la actividad primordial en la provincia de Los Ríos, ya que genera fuentes de empleo a un gran porcentaje de familias. Esta investigación nos ayudará a comprender como la densidad de siembra de arroz influye en el rendimiento y la calidad del cultivo, el objetivo fue evaluar el efecto de diferentes densidades de siembra al voleo utilizando la línea promisoria L-37. Este trabajo de investigación se desarrolló dentro de los dominios de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo de Recursos Agropecuarios, Ambiente, Biodiversidad y Biotecnología, la investigación fue realizada mediante campo/laboratorio con estadística descriptiva inferencial, también fue de carácter aplicado y experimental, basada en los resultados logrados. Se empleó el análisis de varianza (ANOVA) para comparar los efectos de la densidad de siembra y las variedades de arroz en las variables de interés.
