| dc.description | The study analyzes the inventory management of the Santa Rita de Babahoyo Urban Transport Cooperative during 2023, identifying deficiencies that affect the company's operation and financial sustainability. It is observed that the lack of a structured system for the control of essential spare parts and materials generates unnecessary costs, shortages of supplies and a reduction in the quality of service. The cooperative faces difficulties in managing its inventory due to the absence of efficient control and the lack of follow-up in the acquisition and use of spare parts. This causes shortages, unnecessary accumulation of supplies and high operating costs, affecting the quality of service and user satisfaction. A mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative) was used, with the application of tools such as ABC analysis, which classified spare parts according to their relevance. Lack of staff training, poor documentation and absence of clear control policies. The study reveals that the lack of adequate control in inventories generates economic losses and affects the cooperative's operation. Structural improvements are required in the management of inputs, the implementation of technological tools and staff training to ensure an efficient and sustainable service.. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El estudio analiza la gestión de inventarios de la Cooperativa de Transporte Urbano Santa Rita de Babahoyo durante el año 2023, identificando deficiencias que afectan la operatividad y sostenibilidad financiera de la empresa. Se observa que la falta de un sistema estructurado para el control de repuestos y materiales esenciales genera costos innecesarios, escasez de insumos y reducción en la calidad del servicio. La cooperativa enfrenta dificultades en la administración de su inventario debido a la ausencia de un control eficiente y la falta de seguimiento en la adquisición y uso de repuestos. Esto provoca desabastecimiento, acumulación innecesaria de insumos y elevados costos operativos, afectando la calidad del servicio y la satisfacción de los usuarios. Se utilizó un enfoque mixto (cuantitativo y cualitativo), con la aplicación de herramientas como análisis ABC, que clasificó los repuestos según su relevancia. Falta de capacitación del personal, documentación deficiente y ausencia de políticas claras de control. El estudio revela que la falta de control adecuado en los inventarios genera pérdidas económicas y afecta la operatividad de la cooperativa.
