| dc.description | The present investigation is entitled refractive errors and their influence on visual quality in drivers of the Río Babahoyo Taxi Cooperative, October 2024 - April 2025, where it is considered that vision is an essential component in human existence because it favors integral growth and appropriate performance in various areas of life in the field of health, visual health is a crucial element to ensure safe driving since refractive errors that are not diagnosed in time can hinder the correct interpretation of either pedestrian or vehicle signals, therefore the reason for this work was to determine which refractive errors influence the visual quality of the drivers of the Río Babahoyo Taxi Cooperative. To comply with the same, the non-experimental methodology was used, whose cut was transversal, descriptive, explanatory in scope based on an exploratory level with a qualitative approach where qualitative techniques such as observation, the interview and in turn various tests such as the Ishihara test, Visual field by confrontation, Amsler grid and the Titmus test with a documentary research and field research under the inductive research method whose population was composed of 80 drivers, the research sample was 60 drivers, resulting in a significant prevalence of refractive errors among drivers of the Taxi Cooperative Rio Babahoyo, being myopia with presbyopia the most frequent error, concluding that there is the importance of maintaining excellent visual health in road safety, highlighting the reason for implementing prevention or treatment strategies for refractive errors present in drivers, which include periodic optometric examinations, education on visual health and access to adequate optical correction. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación se titula errores refractivos y su influencia en la calidad visual en los conductores de la Cooperativa de Taxi Río Babahoyo, octubre 2024 - abril 2025, dónde se tiene consideración que la visión es un componente esencial en la existencia humana debido a que favorece al crecimiento integral y rendimiento apropiado en diversas áreas de la vida en el ámbito de la de la salud la salud visual es un elemento crucial para asegurar una conducción segura dado que los errores refractivos que no se diagnostican a tiempo pueden obstaculizar la correcta interpretación ya sea de señales peatones o vehículos por ende el motivo de este trabajo fue determinar qué errores refractivos influyen en la calidad visual de los conductores de la Cooperativa de Taxi Río Babahoyo para cumplir con el mismo se empleó la metodología no experimental cuyo corte fue transversal de alcance descriptivo explicativo basado en un nivel exploratorio con un enfoque cualitativo donde se emplearon técnicas cualitativas como la observación la entrevista y a su vez diversos test como el de Ishihara, Campo visual por confrontación Rejilla de Amsler y el test de Titmus con una investigación documental y la investigación de campo bajo el método de investigación inductivo cuya población estuvo compuesta por 80 conductores la muestra de investigación fue de 60 conductores teniendo como resultado que existe una prevalencia significativa de errores refractivos entre los conductores de la Cooperativa de Taxi Río Babahoyo, siendo la miopía con presbicia el error más frecuente concluyendo que existe la importancia de mantener una excelente salud visual en la seguridad vial poniendo de manifiesto el motivo de implementar estrategias de prevención o tratamiento para los errores refractivos presente en conductores, que incluyan exámenes optométricos periódicos, educación sobre salud visual y acceso a corrección óptica adecuada. | es_ES |
