dc.description | Visual ergonomics in educational environments is an aspect that is not addressed very often. The present topic was chosen because of the problem that exists, given that children are exposed to long study days, where visual ergonomic conditions are of great importance. Our objective was to analyze the influence between visual ergonomics and ametropias in seventh grade students of the Aurora Estrada y Ayala de Ramirez Perez Educational Unit in the city of Babahoyo. The methodology used in this project was descriptive and cross-sectional. As a result, it was found that there is a high percentage of ametropic patients; regarding ergonomic conditions, it was found that there is poor lighting in the classrooms, the lowest level being seventh A with 74 lux; In posture it was found that 45% present a moderate risk and 12% a high risk, and in working distance it was identified that 38% of students have an inadequate reading distance, in symptomatology data showed a high predominance of symptoms, suggesting that inadequate ergonomics may contribute to the exacerbation of symptoms. Finally, it was concluded that the high frequency with which students reported visual symptoms indicates that continued exposure to these conditions may be increasing their occurrence. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
