dc.descriptionThe objective of this work is to demonstrate gender violence and the psychological consequences in women associated with the SAMUVI program “Care and Support Service for Women Victims of Violence” of the “Cristo Del Consuelo” Community Center, in the city of Babahoyo. Gender-based violence against women refers to any act of gender-based violence that results, or may result, in physical, sexual, economic or psychological harm or suffering to women, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation. of freedom. Its effects can be devastating, affecting women's physical, mental and emotional health, as well as their ability to fully participate in society. The research was carried out with a population of 100 women, using a sample of 51 of them. A type of descriptive research was used with a mixed approach and a non-experimental design methodology. The data was collected through a structured survey to demonstrate whether the women had been victims of gender violence. Interviews were conducted to explore the psychological state of the participants and analyze the impact of gender violence. In addition, psychometric tests such as the Beck Depression Scale, the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAM-A) and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Questionnaire (RSES) were used. Through these techniques and instruments, the stated objectives were achieved. The results obtained allowed us to identify a high percentage of women affected by some type of gender violence and the negative repercussions on their mental health.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo tiene como objetivo evidenciar la violencia de género y las consecuencias psicológicas en las mujeres asociadas al programa SAMUVI “Servicio de Atención y Apoyo a Mujeres Víctimas de Violencia” del Centro Comunal “Cristo del Consuelo”, en la ciudad de Babahoyo. La violencia de género en la mujer se refiere a cualquier acto de violencia basado en el género que resulte, o pueda resultar, en daño o sufrimiento físico, sexual, económico o psicológico para las mujeres, incluyendo amenazas de tales actos, coerción o privación arbitraria de la libertad. Sus efectos pueden ser devastadores, afectando la salud física, mental y emocional de las mujeres, así como su capacidad para participar plenamente en la sociedad. La investigación se llevó a cabo con una población de 100 mujeres, utilizando una muestra de 51 de ellas. Se empleó un tipo de investigación descriptiva con un enfoque mixto y una metodología de diseño no experimental. Los datos se recopilaron mediante una encuesta estructurada para evidenciar si las mujeres habían sido víctimas de violencia de género, se realizaron entrevistas para explorar el estado psicológico de las participantes y analizar el impacto de la violencia de género. Además, se utilizaron test psicométricos como la Escala de Depresión de Beck, la Escala de Ansiedad de Hamilton (HAM-A) y el Cuestionario de Autoestima de Rosenberg (RSES). Mediante estas técnicas e instrumentos se logró llevar a cabo con los objetivos planteados. Los resultados obtenidos permitieron identificar un alto porcentaje de mujeres afectadas por algún tipo de violencia de género y las repercusiones negativas en su salud mental.es_ES
