The current study seeks to analyze the connection between the nutritional status and physical activity of the elderly at the Montalvo Canton Health Center, from June to September 2024. In Ecuador, as in several Latin American countries, the proportion of older adults is growing, which requires understanding and comprehensively addressing the factors that affect their quality of life and well-being. The objective of the project is to determine the relationship between nutritional status and physical activity of older adults who attend the Montalvo Canton Health Center during the period June - September 2024. The methodology used in the research was quantitative, analytical, and cross-sectional; a population of 204 older adult patients who attend the Montalvo Health Center was used. As a result, it was obtained that the nutritional status of older adults prevailed with normal nutritional status with 55%, followed by overweight and obesity with 29.39% and underweight with 15.6%. Likewise, according to the FITT principle, 41% of physical activity was sedentary in aerobic physical activity and 48.92% in anaerobic physical activity since they did not comply with the recommended time and frequency. The results indicate that those older adults who perform a combination of aerobic and anaerobic physical activity have a more balanced nutritional status. On the contrary, older adults who lead a sedentary lifestyle, that is, who do not perform any type of physical activity, tend to have a less healthy nutritional status.es_ES
