dc.descriptionThe main purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a correlation between the nutritional status and the lifestyle of the population to be studied, older adults with high blood pressure treated at the Barreiro Health Center, period June - September 2024. The research focused on identifying factors such as diet, physical activity and other habits that are related to the control of high blood pressure. The study method used was cross-sectional and descriptive. The data were collected through a survey and review of medical records of a sample of 132 older adults with hypertension who were treated at the Barreiro Health Center. The information obtained was analyzed using descriptive statistics to identify patterns and relationships between nutritional status, lifestyle, and blood pressure control. The findings suggest that individuals with good nutritional status and stable lifestyles have hypertension under control among older adults. Healthy practices include regular physical activity and consumption of a balanced diet for optimal blood pressure control in older adults. These findings highlight the importance of interventions to reduce malnutrition and anxiety in older adults.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl propósito principal de este estudio es determinar si existe una correlación entre el estado nutricional y la forma de vida de la población a estudiar, adultos mayores que presenta hipertensión arterial atendidos en el Centro de Salud Barreiro, periodo junio – septiembre 2024. La investigación se concretó en identificar los factores como la dieta, actividad física y otros hábitos que se relaciona con el control de la hipertensión arterial. El método de estudio utilizado fue transversal y descriptivo. Los datos fueron recolectados mediante encuesta y revisión de historias clínicas de una muestra de 132 adultos mayores con hipertensión que fueron atendidos en el Centro de Salud de Barreiro. La información obtenida se analizó mediante estadística descriptiva para identificar patrones y relaciones entre el estado nutricional, el estilo de vida y el control de la presión arterial. Los hallazgos sugieren que las personas con un buen estado nutricional y estilos de vida estables tienen controlada la hipertensión entre los adultos mayores. Las prácticas saludables incluyen la actividad física regular y el consumo de una dieta equilibrada para un control óptimo de la presión arterial en adultos mayores. A partir de estos hallazgos resalta la importancia de las intervenciones para reducir la desnutrición y ansiedad en los adultos mayores.es_ES
