The causes of postpartum hemorrhage may include loss of tone in the uterine muscles, hemorrhagic diseases, or retention or tearing of placental tissue, in the present work. This research aims to determine the related factors and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage in pregnant women at the Martin Icaza Hospital during the period from January to August 2024, for which cross-sectional research was applied, it is observational in nature and analyzes data on variables collected in a period. of determined time, with a type of descriptive research that is responsible for specifying the characteristics of the population being studied, the method refers to two inverse intellectual processes that operate in unity: analysis and synthesis, while the modality is documentary for the compilation of the theoretical and field foundation for data collection through the survey, which was applied to 231 patients treated in the established period of time, obtaining as results that the related factors that most frequently affect The problems of postpartum hemorrhage in pregnant women are the age of the pregnant women, which mostly fluctuates between 20 and 35 years, uterine myomatosis and the fact of having suffered PPH in a previous pregnancy.es_ES

dc.description.abstractLa hemorragia post parto es el sangrado excesivo luego de haber experimentado el parto, las causas de la hemorragia posparto pueden incluir la pérdida de tono en los músculos uterinos, las enfermedades hemorrágicas, o la retención o el desgarro del tejido placentario, en el presente trabajo investigativo se pretende determinar los factores relacionados y la incidencia de la hemorragia postparto en gestantes en el Hospital Martin Icaza periodo de enero a agosto del 2024, para lo cual se aplicó la investigación transversal es de tipo observacional que analiza datos de variables recopiladas en un periodo de tiempo determinado, con un tipo de investigación descriptiva que se encarga de puntualizar las características de la población que se está estudiando, el método se refiere a dos procesos intelectuales inversos que operan en unidad: el análisis y la síntesis, mientras que la modalidad es documental para la recopilación de la fundamentación teórica y de campo para la recolección de datos por medio de la encuesta la misma que fue aplicada a 231 pacientes atendidas en el periodo de tiempo establecido, obteniendo como resultados que los factores relacionados que inciden con mayor frecuencia en los problemas de hemorragia postparto en gestantes son la edad de las gestantes que en su mayoría fluctúa entre los 20 y 35 años, la miomatosis uterina y el hecho de haber sufrido una HPP en una gestación anterior.es_ES
