Preeclampsia is a significant complication in pregnant adolescents, with serious implications for maternal and fetal health. This study aims to identify the prevalence of preeclampsia in adolescents and analyze associated risk factors at Hospital General Martín Icaza from November 2023 to April 2024. The research employs a quantitative, descriptive, and analytical approach with an observational modality based on structured surveys. Data will be collected on sociodemographic characteristics, medical history, and risk factors from a sample of 133 adolescents randomly selected from an estimated population of 200. Preliminary results indicate that 40.6% of the pregnant adolescents are 19 years old, 32.3% are in the 17 to 18-year age range, 13.5% are between 15 and 16 years old, and 13.5% are under 15 years old. Among the identified risk factors, 55% of participants have a family history of hypertension, 45% have hypertension prior to pregnancy, and 60% report a low number of prenatal visits, with fewer than four during pregnancy. These findings suggest a high prevalence of preeclampsia and a strong association with key risk factors. The conclusions highlight the need to improve prevention and management strategies for preeclampsia, particularly focusing on prenatal follow-up and managing risk factors in adolescents.es_ES
