Incomplete spontaneous abortion is a common complication in gynecological and obstetric practice, with significant implications for maternal and fetal health. This study aimed to determine the gynecological-obstetric risk factors associated with incomplete spontaneous abortion in women aged 30 to 40 at Dr. Liborio Panchana Sotomayor General Hospital during the period from January to June 2024. A total of 86 patients were examined from an initial pool of 110 individuals, focusing on maternal age, history of abortion, body mass index (BMI), type of pregnancy, education level, residence area, and associated complications. Using a research method that incorporates a cohort, cross-sectional, and retrospective study design, combined with both inductive and analytical methods, we obtained results indicating that women aged 30 to 35 had a significantly higher rate of incomplete spontaneous abortion (70%) compared to women under 30 years old (30%). A high percentage (91%) of the pregnant women had a history of abortion, suggesting a recurrent predisposition. BMI was also relevant, with 64% of the affected women being overweight or obese. Most of the spontaneous abortions occurred in single pregnancies (94%), and 40% of the women had experienced more than three previous abortions. Regarding complications, 36% of the women experienced hemorrhages, 12% developed sepsis, while 52% did not have additional complications. These findings highlight the need for preventive strategies and specialized management to improve outcomes for women with incomplete spontaneous abortions.es_ES
