dc.description | The term "medical incomplete abortion" describes a situation in which, despite the application of a medical treatment to induce the expulsion of the uterine contents, a complete elimination of the fetal or placental tissue is not achieved, which is why this can happen even after having administered the medications designed to complete the abortion. In such cases, it is necessary to receive care at a health center to treat the residual material that remains in the uterus. The management of an incomplete medical abortion presents specific challenges that require obstetric behavior adapted to the clinical conditions of the patient, therefore, this clinical case focuses on evaluating whether the obstetric behavior applied to a 30 -year-old patient with incomplete medical abortion plus moderate anemia, who went to the Liborio Panchana Sotomayor Hospital in the Santa Elena canton, was adequate. The general objective of the study is to determine the obstetric behavior in the management of an incomplete medical abortion in a patient with moderate anemia who had an anembryonic pregnancy. Specific objectives focus on analyzing the most effective treatment options, identifying risk factors and evaluating the patient's clinical evolution. | es_ES |
