The nursing care process is fundamental because it allows health professionals to provide the necessary care for patients to recover quickly through specific activities and procedures. Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) occurs when the ovular membranes rupture before the onset of labor. On the other hand, oligohydramnios refers to an insufficient amount of amniotic fluid during pregnancy. The objective of this case study is to develop the care process for a 36-week pregnant woman with premature rupture of membranes and severe oligohydramnios. Premature rupture of membranes is a common complication and one of the most controversial problems in obstetrics, as it negatively affects pregnancy and is associated with higher maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. The study is based on Dorothea Orem's Theory, which proposes specific procedures that nurses should follow to guide the self-care of pregnant women with problems that threaten the life of the mother and baby.es_ES
