dc.descriptionThe present curricular research work emphasized sleep disorders, which represents a problem in nursing interns, causing changes in the way they sleep. A sleep disorder can affect overall health, safety, and quality of life. Lack of sleep can affect your ability to carry out daily activities and increase the risk of other health problems. This study aims to determine the prevalence of sleep disorders in the academic performance of Nursing interns at the Technical University. from Babahoyo, cohort September 2023 - August 2024, for which a type of descriptive research was applied, with a documentary and field modality, with an inductive-deductive method to a specific population in all teachers who are in number of 4 and of all boarding students in a total of 82, the sample being the same because it was considered a small population, to whom interviews and surveys were applied, obtaining as results that the prevalence of the sleep disorder can vary depending on the type of disorder and the population studied, which in this case mostly ranges from 19 to 30 years old, some approximate prevalence of sleep disorders: Insomnia, excessive daytime sleepiness, changes in appetite and weight, irritable or anxious moods, narcolepsy, sleep disorder related to overwork, anxiety, depression, stress and emotional disturbances, to which the general population is exposed, which affects participation in their classes and academic performance.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de investigación curricular hizo énfasis en los trastornos del sueño, lo cual representa un problema en los internos de enfermería, provocando cambios en la forma de dormir. Un trastorno del sueño puede afectar la salud, seguridad y calidad de vida en general. La falta de sueño puede afectar tu capacidad para realizar actividades cotidianas y aumentar el riesgo de otros problemas de salud, en el presente estudio se pretendía conocer cuál es la prevalencia del trastorno de sueño en el rendimiento académico de los internos de Enfermería de la Universidad Técnica de Babahoyo, cohorte septiembre 2023 - agosto 2024, para lo cual se aplicó un tipo de investigación descriptiva, con modalidad documental y de campo, con método inductivo-deductivo a una población determinada en la totalidad de docentes que son en un numero de 4 y de todos los estudiantes internos en un total de 82, siendo la muestra la misma por ser considerada una población pequeña, a quienes se les aplico entrevistas y encuestas obteniendo como resultados que la prevalencia del trastorno del sueño puede variar dependiendo del tipo de trastorno y la población estudiada, que en este caso su mayoría va de los 23 años hasta más de 30 años, algunas prevalencias aproximadas del trastorno del sueño: Insomnio, somnolencia diurna excesiva, cambios del apetito y peso, estados de ánimo irritable o ansioso, narcolepsia, trastorno de sueño relacionado con el exceso de trabajo, ansiedad, depresión, estrés y otras alteraciones emocionales, a lo cual está expuesta la población general, lo que afecta la participación en sus clases y el rendimiento académico.es_ES
