dc.descriptionTeenage pregnancy can be prevented through adequate sexual education in the family, school and health facilities, avoiding unplanned pregnancies. Objective: To evaluate the knowledge of sexual education and pregnancies in adolescents aged 13-16 years at the University Hospital of Guayaquil, period May-August 2024. Methodology: The inductive-deductive method was used, non-experimental design, descriptive, field and transversal, and quantitative modality in 40 pregnant adolescents. The survey was applied as a technique with a 15-question questionnaire. Results: In sociodemographic characteristics, they were 16 years old (40.0%), secondary educational level 1st high school (30.0%) and rural residence (55.0%); They had a low level of knowledge about sexual education, they had not received sexuality education in the educational unit (52.5%), pregnancy was not possible after the first relationship (65.0%), lack of knowledge about contraceptive methods (70.0%), %). .0%) and there is no risk in sexual relations without contraceptives (30.0%); and the regular level of knowledge about the consequences of teenage pregnancy, expressed discrimination as a social consequence (32.5%) and without consequences on a physical or health level (50.0%). dc.description.abstractEl embarazo adolescente puede prevenirse a través de una adecuada educación sexual en la familia, la escuela y los establecimientos de salud, evitando gestaciones no planeadas. Objetivo: Evaluar el conocimiento de educación sexual y embarazos en adolescentes de 13-16 años del Hospital Universitario de Guayaquil, periodo mayo-agosto 2024. Metodología: Se utilizó el método inductivo-deductivo, diseño no experimental, de tipo descriptivo, de campo y transversal, y modalidad cuantitativa en 40 adolescentes embarazadas. Se aplicó la encuesta como técnica con un cuestionario de 15 preguntas. Resultados: En las características sociodemográficas, tenían 16 años (40,0%), nivel educativo secundario 1º bachillerato (30,0%) y residencia rural (55,0%); tenían un nivel bajo de conocimiento sobre educación sexual, no habían recibido educación sobre sexualidad en la unidad educativa (52,5%), no era posible el embarazo luego de la primera relación (65,0%), desconocimiento sobre métodos anticonceptivos (70,0%) y no existe riesgo en relaciones sexuales sin anticonceptivos (30,0%); y el grado regular de conocimiento sobre consecuencias del embarazo adolescente, manifestaron la discriminación como consecuencia social (32,5%) y sin consecuencias a nivel físico o salud (50,0%). Conclusión: Existe un bajo nivel de conocimiento sobre educación sexual y embarazo en adolescentes de 13 a 16 años.es_ES
