Iron deficiency anemia is one that occurs due to a low iron deficiency and is of high incidence in the world and in Ecuador, greatly affecting pregnant adolescents due to different causes, which if not diagnosed and treated in time increases. The percentage of risk of abortions, preterm birth, puerperal infections and even causing perinatal mortality. The purpose of this study is to: Determine the prevention strategies for iron deficiency anemia in pregnant adolescents at the 4 de Mayo Health Center in the city of Babahoyo in the period May - August 2024 for the development of this research work, the methodology. It is used with a quantitative, descriptive approach with an analytical-synthetic method, which allows us to collect and synthesize the most relevant information. Conclusion: The iron deficiency anemia prevention strategies implemented at the 4 de Mayo Health Center during the period May-August 2024 have proven to be partially effective by acting on the main risk factors. Although a significant percentage of pregnant adolescents received education about the importance of an iron-rich diet and the use of supplements, cases of iron deficiency anemia persist, indicating the need to improve these interventions.es_ES
