dc.description | Blue light, part of the visible spectrum emitted predominantly by electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, computers and televisions, has generated concern due to its adverse effects on eye health, especially among young people, our study focuses on the study of the incidence of blue light on visual fatigue in young people in the Caseiche Herapamba community of the city of Guaranda, during the period April-August 2024. Blue light is characterized by its high energy and short wavelength and its prolonged exposure is associated with symptoms of visual fatigue. This study methodologically sought to determine the relationship between exposure to blue light and visual fatigue, providing a comprehensive analysis of the behaviors, habits and mitigation technologies used by young people. The results obtained showed that the majority of Caseiche Herapamba youth use electronic devices more than five hours a day, present symptoms of severe visual fatigue, and lack knowledge about the effects of blue light on eye health. The conclusion highlights that prolonged exposure to blue light contributes significantly to eyestrain in Caseiche Herapamba youth. In addition, a lack of knowledge and preventive measures against the harmful effects of this light on eye health is evident. There is a clear incidence of blue light exposure time on the severity of visual fatigue symptoms in young people. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
