| dc.description | A 57-year-old patient, a housewife and entrepreneur, came with chronic and painful symptoms in the right knee, morning stiffness and some functional limitation. The patient is overweight and has a family history of arthritis and osteoarthritis. During the physical examination, she presented pain on palpation in the joint area, as well as a reduction in the range of movement. In the systemic analysis of Kellgren and Lawrence, she obtained a grade 3 in gonarthrosis. A conservative treatment with medications and physiotherapy was proposed, taking into consideration the operation in the future. After the physiotherapy treatment, improvement in relation to pain and greater independence in daily life were evident despite the progression of the disease. The patient was educated about his disease, indicating alternative ways of carrying out his daily life without causing more pain or discomfort to his condition. Highlighting the efficiency of a personalized physiotherapy treatment in gonarthrosis of grades 1 - 4, which allowed the patient to carry out his activities at home and entrepreneurship appropriately. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | Paciente de femenino de 57 años, ama de casa y emprendedora, acudió con síntomas crónicos y dolorosos en la rodilla derecha, rigidez matutina y cierta limitación funcional. La paciente mantiene sobrepeso y antecedentes familiares de artritis y artrosis. En la escala visual analógica (EVA) la paciente señaló un 8 de 10 en la escala del dolor. En la exploración física presentó dolor a la palpación en la zona articular, así como reducción del rango de movimiento. En el análisis sistémico de Kellgren y Lawrence obtuvo un grado 3 en gonartrosis. Se planteó un tratamiento conservador con medicamentos y fisioterapia teniendo en consideración la operación en un futuro. Luego del tratamiento fisioterapéutico se evidenció la mejoría en relación al dolor y una mejor independencia en la vida diaria pese a la progresión de la enfermedad. Se educó al paciente sobre su enfermedad indicando formas alternativas de realizar su vida diaria sin provocar mayor dolor o molestias sobre su condición. Resaltando la eficiencia de un tratamiento fisioterapéutico personalizado en la gonartrosis de grados 1 – 4, lo que permitió al paciente ejercer sus actividades en casa y emprendimiento de forma adecuada. | es_ES |
