dc.descriptionThis study investigates the physiotherapeutic approach in patients with paraplegia attending the Hospital General Martin Icaza in Babahoyo during the period from June to September 2024. The effectiveness of physiotherapeutic rehabilitation programs in the recovery and improvement of physical functionality and quality of life of these patients is examined. Using clinical and functional measures, the study analyzes patients' progress over time, highlighting the importance of a multidisciplinary and personalized approach to their rehabilitation. The research also addresses local challenges, such as lack of resources and trained staff, which affect access and quality of physiotherapeutic care in the hospital.es_ES

dc.description.abstractEste estudio investiga el abordaje fisioterapéutico en pacientes con paraplejia que acuden al Hospital General Martin Icaza en Babahoyo durante el periodo de junio a septiembre de 2024. Se examina la efectividad de los programas de rehabilitación fisioterapéutica en la recuperación y mejora de la funcionalidad física y calidad de vida de estos pacientes. Utilizando medidas clínicas y funcionales, el estudio analiza el progreso de los pacientes a lo largo del tiempo, destacando la importancia de un enfoque multidisciplinario y personalizado en su rehabilitación. La investigación también aborda los desafíos locales, como la falta de recursos y personal capacitado, que afectan el acceso y la calidad de la atención fisioterapéutica en el hospital.es_ES
