dc.description | The rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) of the knee is a severe injury that can have a significant impact on both athletes and non-athletes, affecting them physically and psychologically. It can cause pain, instability, and reduced mobility, as well as muscle weakness due to inactivity, leading to a diminished capacity to perform daily activities. The rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament is one of the most frequently encountered injuries in primary care. Approximately half of ACL injuries are associated with damage to other knee structures, such as the articular cartilage, menisci, or other ligaments. The aim of this study was to describe the post-operative physiotherapeutic approach for anterior cruciate ligament rupture. This study was conducted at the Federación Deportiva de los Ríos with 31 patients aged 18 to 35 years. A mixed methodology was employed, utilizing two techniques: an interview with physiotherapists and a survey of the patients to collect qualitative information, which was quantified and analyzed through graphs. The results showed that the physiotherapeutic approach consists of a combination of physical agents and therapeutic exercise, which proved beneficial in the treatment of this condition, resulting in pain reduction and improved functionality. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
