In boxing, the hand is crucial, this pathology in the hand can decrease its performance, make training difficult and even completely disable them to practice this sport, the fracture of the fifth metacarpal is highly prevalent. The objective of this study is based on determining the physiotherapeutic approach to fifth metacarpal fractures in boxers from the Sports Federation of the Rivers of the Babahoyo Canton, June - September 2024. It is a descriptive type of research, with the aim of describing the procedures and methods that were implemented in the treatment in order for these athletes to have a better and more effective recovery so that they can return to their activities soon. The methodology used is the deductive method, with a non-experimental and transversal, field and bibliographic approach, the survey was used as a measurement technique. The data were collected from the sample consisting of 40 boxers of both sexes who attend the federation, and it was found that the vast majority of athletes were highly satisfied with the treatment received, highlighting the conservative method as being essential for a rapid reintegration. Emphasizing the use of magnetotherapy and strengthening exercises as being key for optimal rehabilitation. In conclusion, it is essential to start physiotherapy treatment in a timely manner after a fifth metacarpal fracture, which will help reduce deconditioning, the pertinent identification of associated risk factors is manifested, as well as putting into practice the preventive measures proposed in this research.es_ES
