dc.description | The study addresses the serious problem of vertebral burst fracture, usually resulting from high-speed traffic accidents. The case of a 28-year-old male patient involved in a motorcycle accident, with paralysis, loss of sphincter control and facial injuries is presented. The methodology included the application of the Nursing Care Process using NANDA, NOC and NIC taxonomies. Diagnoses were identified and specific interventions were implemented. The patient received initial emergency care, including pain management and stabilization. Subsequently, he was transferred for successful surgery and showed a favorable evolution. The importance of the nursing process in the care of spinal trauma patients is highlighted, as well as the need for individualized and evidence-based care. It is recommended to improve accident prevention, implement standardized emergency protocols, strengthen staff training, promote interdisciplinary communication and ensure continuity of post-discharge care to optimize the patient's recovery and quality of life. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
