dc.description | The present clinical case aims to elucidate the nursing care process in a 60-year-old patient diagnosed with pleural effusion. This study was conducted at the Hospital Martin Icaza in the internal medicine hospitalization area and encompasses the etiology, clinical manifestations, diagnostic methods, and treatment. Pleural effusion is characterized by an abnormal accumulation of fluid in the pleural cavity, often resulting from underlying diseases. It manifests with various symptoms depending on the underlying cause. Nursing care is carried out systematically, with a plan developed based on assessment using Marjory Gordon's functional health patterns and employing the NANDA, NIC, and NOC taxonomies. Nursing interventions are grounded in scientific evidence to contribute to the patient's recovery and well-being. | es_ES |

| es_ES |
