| dc.description | The physiotherapeutic approach in patients with Alzheimer's disease is crucial to improve physical functionality and quality of life. At the Martín Icaza Hospital in Babahoyo, this population faces specific challenges in their care. The problem statement is framed within the need to develop effective physiotherapeutic intervention strategies adapted to the needs and characteristics of Alzheimer's patients. The main objective is to establish how the physiotherapeutic approach influences the improvement of Alzheimer patients from 55 to 75 years of age. The methodology to be developed will include the development of a descriptive, cross-sectional field study in which an initial evaluation of the physical functionality of the patients was carried out. The results showed that most of the patients have a deterioration of their mental health due to the disease they suffer from, and to this is added the physical deterioration they present due to the cognitive impairment of their daily activities, being of great importance to establish an adequate physiotherapeutic treatment for the improvement of their quality of life, as a conclusion it was obtained that the application of the physiotherapeutic approach in a timely manner during a period of time guarantees a high level of effectiveness in the improvement of physical functionality and in the improvement of the quality of life of the patients. | es_ES |

| dc.description.abstract | El abordaje fisioterapéutico en pacientes con Alzheimer es crucial para mejorar la funcionalidad física y la calidad de vida. En el Hospital Martín Icaza del Cantón Babahoyo, esta población enfrenta desafíos específicos en su atención. El planteamiento del problema se enmarca en la necesidad de desarrollar estrategias efectivas de intervención fisioterapéutica adaptadas a las necesidades y características de los pacientes con Alzheimer. El objetivo principal es establecer como influye el abordaje fisioterapéutico en la mejoría de los pacientes con Alzheimer de 55 a 75 años de edad. La metodología a desarrollar incluirá el desarrollo de un estudio descriptivo, de campo con corte transversal en el cual se realizó una evaluación inicial de la funcionalidad física de los pacientes. Los resultados nos mostraron que la mayoría de los pacientes tienen deterioro de la salud mental por la enfermedad que padecen y a esto se suma el deterioro físico que presentan debido al desperfecto cognitivo de sus actividades diarias, siendo de gran importancia establecer un tratamiento fisioterapéutico adecuado para la mejoría de su calidad de vida, como conclusión se obtuvo que la aplicación del abordaje fisioterapéutico de manera oportuna durante un periodo de tiempo garantiza un nivel de efectividad alto en la mejora de la funcionalidad física y en la mejoría de la calidad de vida de los pacientes. | es_ES |
