The physiotherapeutic approach is essential, where it plays a main role in the recovery and prevention of various injuries, allowing post-operative rehabilitation of the anterior cruciate ligament, since it represents a health problem in the area of physical therapy, being one of the first causes of anterior cruciate ligament injuries in athletes and older adults, where a large percentage is evident in adults between 30 and 50 years of age and a lower percentage in older adults, who are susceptible to said injury, due to falls or domestic accidents. For this reason, it is important to establish a physiotherapeutic approach in post-operative anterior cruciate ligament patients who attend the Martín Icaza Canto Babahoyo General Hospital. The inductive method was used, the type of research was applied, field, descriptive, quantitative, with a sample of 40 patients who attend the Martín Icaza General Hospital. Among the most important results is that 95% of the patients surveyed believe that the physiotherapy approach works to recover from their anterior cruciate ligament injury. On the other hand, 55% of the patients are aware of the physiotherapy approach protocol in their post-anterior cruciate ligament surgery and 73% of patients have knowledge about the physiotherapy treatment procedures applied in the Hospital. The sample studied performs its exercises at home but does not do it constantly or in proper form. Physiotherapy personnel do not fully carry out their corresponding functions, including the promotion of exercises at home and the motivation of patients, resulting in a high rate of lack of prompt recovery from the anterior cruciate ligament injury.es_ES
